About Cassandra
Cassandra Armstrong is a Philadelphia-based contemporary painter whose work focuses on intimacy and the emotional undercurrents of memory. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Pennsylvania, she continued to refine her artistic practice through independent studio work. Working primarily in oil, she uses loose, textural brushwork and rich color palettes drawn from the natural world to create paintings that occupy the space between feeling and remembrance. Her practice is deeply autobiographical, seeking to document the emotional immediacy of lived experience as it is filtered through the veil of memory.
