Portrait Commissions

Atmospheric portraits rooted in memory, emotion, and personal connection. Working from photographs and personal reference material, I will create an oil painting designed to evoke a sense of intimacy and presence.

Narrative Commissions

Custom paintings inspired by personal histories, memories, meaningful places, and life experiences. Created in collaboration with you, I’ll design the painting to function both as deeply personal work of art and as lasting addition to a home or collection

A 50% deposit is required to begin all commissions.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I use professional grade oil paints and paint on gallery stretch canvas or cradled gesso board, both of which offer smooth and stable supports for long lasting works.

    • Overall process takes 5 - 8 weeks from initial inquiry to shipping date.

    • You’ll receive a follow up email after I receive your initial inquiry. Please allow for up to 3 business days for a response.

    • Depending on your desired commission category, I’ll provide an invoice for the 50% deposit. Note that this deposit is nonrefundable. 1 business day.

    • Upon receipt of the deposit, I’ll provide an initial sketch based on your provided info and reference images. 3 - 5 business days

    • You will provide your feedback and any necessary changes.

    • I’l provide the revised sketch for your final approval before beginning the painting. 3 - 5 business days depending on complexity.

    • Painting time is ~ 1 month.

    • Once painting is complete, I’ll provide a photo of the work for approval and any minor feedback.

    • Once approved by you, I’ll provide an invoice for the final 50% commission cost.

    • Painting drying time is up to 2 weeks post completion.

    • Painting will then be carefully packaged with full insurance and shipped out to you. Shipment will require signature at delivery.

  • I don’t offer framing for commissioned work at this time. However, I can provide recommendations for appropriate framing materials and colors to suit the work at your request.

  • Given the care and attention given to each individual work, I do not offer expedited commissions. Please keep in mind the extended timelines that are key to making a high quality piece that you’ll enjoy.

  • Yes. I will align with you on requisite shipping and any other costs during this process.
